Our ABS profiles are built to customer designs: you supply the section, and we design the mold around it. We have produced profiles to designs from several automotive manufacturers, as well as appliance and furniture brands.
CNC machining, wire cutting and drilling for dies all happen in our own workshop. When a sample needs a correction, the mold team is down the hall from the extrusion line.
We extrude with ABS from known brands such as Chimei and Tairilac. One of our appliance profiles, for example, runs on Tairilac AG15E1 at 150 g per meter.
As a mid-sized factory, a question from your engineer reaches our mold and production staff quickly, without layers of account managers in between.
An ABS profile is a continuous plastic section made by pushing molten ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) resin through a shaped die, then cooling and cutting it to length. Thin flat sections are often called ABS strips, and shaped sections are called ABS extrusions, but the process is the same.
ABS earns its place between PVC and polycarbonate. It is stiffer and more dependable than PVC in many rigid parts, and it costs less and shapes more easily than PC. That balance is why product designers reach for extruded ABS first when they need housings, frames, edge trims or decorative strips.

ABS is a rigid material, available in solid colors or transparent types. There is no soft ABS, so flexible seals and lips are better made in TPE, TPV or PE profiles.

Light, rigid ABS blades for factory fans offer a cost-effective alternative to aluminum, with enough strength and corrosion resistance for the job.
Many ABS car parts are molded, but border and joint areas often use extruded ABS. We have made profiles to designs from different automotive manufacturers.

What is the minimum order quantity for a custom ABS profile?
Every profile has a different size and weight, so there is no fixed MOQ. Most orders start from about 300 kg. Send us the drawing or weight per meter and we will tell you what that means in meters for your section.
Do you work as an OEM ABS profile manufacturer?
Yes. Dachang makes ABS profiles to customer designs. You provide the drawing or sample, we design the mold, and production only starts after you approve the samples.
What ABS resin does Dachang use?
We use ABS from well-known brands such as Chimei and Tairilac, and the grade is chosen to suit your part.
Can I specify my own resin brand and grade?
Yes. If your grade is not sold in China, we recommend a similar material for your review. This usually lowers cost and shortens material lead time.
Can you match a specific color?
Yes. Give us a Pantone number and we adjust the color to it. A physical sample is helpful when the part is highly visible.
Is there a soft or flexible ABS profile?
No. ABS is rigid and comes in solid colors or transparent types. For flexible sections, TPE, TPV or PE profiles are a better fit.
Can ABS profiles be used outdoors or in cold climates?
Standard ABS suits indoor parts and typically works from −20 °C to 80 °C, becoming brittle below that range. For long outdoor exposure, ASA or an ABS+ASA blend holds up better.
Which materials can be blended with ABS?
PC+ABS is used when a part needs more strength, while ABS+ASA improves weather resistance.
Can extruded ABS be cut, bonded or printed afterwards?
Yes. ABS processes easily and handles CNC cutting, bonding and printing, but heat during processing needs to be controlled. List any planned operations when you ask for a quote.
Do your ABS profiles meet RoHS, REACH or FDA requirements?
ABS can be supplied to comply with RoHS. Food-grade (FDA) and medical parts require specific resin brands and grades, so state the requirement and the documents you need at the quoting stage.
Do you make ABS injection molded parts or sheets?
No. We focus on extrusion, so injection molding and blow molding are outside our capability, and panels, rods and sheets are usually not customized.
